OshKosh Spoon Shovels and digging shovels have the same high-carbon 13 gauge steel blades. They use their own special patterns to manufacture the Master Straight Shovel as well as the Eastern and Western Spoon Blades styles.
Western Pattern is designed for harder, clay like soils.
Eastern Pattern is designed for lighter, sandier soils.
Master Pattern is straight for added stiffness
Shovel design has a scoop shape for lifting mud, water and back fill from deep holes. The shovel straps have footage marks to indicate hole depth.
